East Stroudsburg University’s TV Club - BEHIND THE SCENES
I know some of you reading might ask why this is posted here. ESU TV Club also hosts bands and musicians to come on-air. We would allow them to perform and be interviewed on camera. The segment in the show will be shown throughout ESU TV. If you are in a band or a musician in the Stroudsburg area, comment here and we will try to get you on the show next semester! Also, if you are already a ESU student, I encourage you to come and be part of this club. Watch the video for more information.
Local Spotlight: North Of The City
I am friends with some of the members of this band and I find their music and sound different from the regular ‘scene’ sound. They headlined The Sherman Theatre last friday, and is trying to jump on the Warped Tour by competing in Battle of The Bands. The band is from Stroudsburg and is one of the few well-known rockbands at the moment. I would highly suggest to check out their MySpace and let me know what you think!
Hip-hop emcee Asher Roth hit ESU last night for the finale of I Love College Week. This sold-out concert at The Sherman Theatre brought in nearly 1300 students from the area. MTV was there to finish off his special Before and Asher which will air on MTV in the next few weeks. He was all smiles backstage before the show, meeting up with old high school friends and more. Right before he hit the stage, you can hear the crowd chanting a line of his hit song ‘I Love College’; “Do somethin’ crazy!” The cameras we’re all on him while the young emcee surfaced the stage. He started the showoff with one of his next singles ‘Lark In My Go-Kart’ which made the crowd go wild. You could feel the energy from the crowd that screamed ‘Welcome home, Asher’. Some of my photos of the could be seen at my Flickr and will soon be on The Stroud Courier Online.
Pierce The Veil used my picture on their MySpace! My picture is amoung other amazing photography taken during the 2009 Taste Of Chaos Tour. Check it out here and comment!
I will be interviewing hip-hop artist Asher Roth tomorrow night at The Sherman Theatre in Stroudsburg, PA. This concert is part of ‘I Love College’ Week at East Stroudsburg University.
A high school friend, Laura Gesualdi also has a music blog similar to mine. Check it out! She is taking a similar class at Rowan University. She has posted my pictures from the Taste Of Choas on her blog. Good job Laura!

Indie musician, Butch Walker played at Webster Hall in New York City this past Saturday Night. I felt the vibe in the crowd that this was a hometown show. Once Walker hit the stage, I could feel a certain energy hit the room. He started off with a slower song, off of his album Sycamore Meadows. Once he got off of his piano, he hit the middle of the stage with the full band. I could feel the floor beating like a heart beat under my feet. The crowd was mixed from people from all different backgrounds and ages. It amazed me how he could have a fanbase like that. I loved to see that everyone was singing along and feeling the same beat I was. I fell in love with his music even more that night. Check out some of his music and the rest of his tour dates on his MySpace. I also had the pleasure to interview him. You can check out the interview on my blog here and on my webzine.

A Day To Remember - If It Means A Lot To You
I’m not very big on hard rock, screamo bands. However this one song off of A Day To Remember’s new album, Homesick, won me over. They turned down the notch all the way for this one. The lead singer of VeraEmerge, Sierra Kusterbeck, had guest vocals on this track as well. The lyrics and sound work perfectly with both the singers voices. Check A Day To Remember’s MySpace for more tracks off their new album, Homesick.

Rockstar Energy Drink Taste Of Chaos 2009 was indeed brutal last night but definitely deserves 4 stars. This year’s headliner was Thursday (photo) with openers Four Year Strong, Bring Me The Horizon, Pierce The Veil, and Cancer Bats. Teens wearing tight jeans and highlighter colored t shirts covered the floor facing the stage. Nokia Theatre was the home for this New York City stop, and the bands proved they owned it. The mosh pits gained strength from wall to wall throughout the night. I was in the photo pit with over 20 other photographers. I did get a push and a shove from crowd surfers being rescued by security. One band that deserved a honorable mention was Four Year Strong. They surfaced the stage wearing ‘FYS’ varsity jacket-looking hoodies. Their energy was at a high once they hit the middle of their set. You could see me nodding along to some songs that have passed by my ears before. Headliner, Thursday also gave an excellent performance. I never attended a hard-rock show before, and to be honest I was impressed. This show was outstanding and I would recommend going even if you never heard of the bands. It will make you appreciate hard-rock and look at it in a different way. I still don’t understand the screaming, especially the songs of Bring Me The Horizon. They sounded all the same to me, however I would like to understand it one day. Now it’s time for me to download some Four Year Strong for my Ipod.
Check out more pictures of the show on my Flickr.
